Do You Offer Freight Shipping for Bulk or Palletized Orders?Updated a day ago
Freight Shipping Availability
Yes — PNW Sanitary offers LTL freight shipping for large, heavy, or palletized orders. Freight service is often the most cost-effective and reliable method for shipping bulk sanitary fittings, tubing, or multiple cases of product.
Orders that exceed standard parcel weight or dimensional limits will automatically be flagged for freight shipment during fulfillment.
When Freight Shipping Is Recommended
- Large-volume orders (cases, master cartons, or mixed pallets)
- Orders containing long sanitary tubing or oversized spool assemblies
- Orders exceeding parcel weight limits (typically 150 lbs or more)
- Shipments requiring additional protection, banding, or palletization
Freight Cost Eligibility
Most palletized orders qualify for free LTL freight shipping when the order total meets our standard freight threshold. For the majority of customers, orders of $1,000 or more ship via LTL at no additional cost.
This applies to both commercial and residential deliveries, although additional carrier surcharges (such as liftgate service or appointment fees) may still apply when required by the delivery location.
If your order qualifies for free freight shipping, this will be confirmed during checkout or by our support team when preparing your shipment.
How to Request a Freight Quote
If your order qualifies for freight shipping or you would prefer a freight quote, please contact our support team with the following information:
- Shipping address and company name
- Whether the delivery location is commercial or residential
- Whether a loading dock or forklift is available
- Any access limitations (gated entry, appointment required, etc.)
- Items or SKUs you plan to order
Most freight quotes are provided within 1 business day.
Delivery Requirements
Freight carriers require specific delivery conditions depending on the facility:
A loading dock or forklift is strongly recommended for safe and efficient unloading.
Additional fees may apply. Liftgate service is required unless you have equipment to unload a pallet.
Some carriers require delivery appointments for certain locations. Lead times may vary by region.
Freight Lead Times
Freight transit times vary by destination, carrier capacity, and weather. Most LTL shipments within the contiguous United States arrive within 2–7 business days.
Preparing Your Facility
To ensure a smooth delivery:
- Confirm someone will be available during normal business hours
- Ensure the receiving area is accessible for a 53' truck or box truck
- Notify us of any special receiving requirements
Tracking Freight Shipments
Once your freight shipment dispatches, we will email a PRO number or tracking link provided by the carrier. Freight tracking updates are less frequent than parcel shipments and may only show major transit points.
Damaged or Missing Freight Deliveries
For freight shipments, it is important to:
- Inspect the pallet before signing the delivery receipt
- Note any visible damage on the paperwork
- Take photos if the pallet or boxes appear damaged
If the shipment appears damaged or items are missing, please contact us immediately with photos and documentation so we can work with the carrier on a claim.
