How Do I Request Material Test Reports (MTRs)?Updated a month ago

How Do I Request MTR Documentation?

PNW Sanitary provides Material Test Reports (MTRs) for stainless steel fittings, tubing, and other applicable sanitary components. MTRs include heat/lot certification, chemical composition, and material property details used to verify compliance and traceability.

All MTRs are issued on official PNW Sanitary letterhead and delivered electronically as PDF files.

To request an MTR, please email:

Information to Include

For the fastest processing time, please include:

  • Your order number
  • The email address used at checkout
  • The specific item(s) needing MTR documentation
  • Any special formatting or compliance requirements

If your request involves multiple heat/lot numbers, please list each item separately.

Availability of MTRs

  • MTRs are available for most stainless steel components, including 304 and 316L fittings and tubing.
  • Gasket materials generally do not include MTR documentation.
  • If an item does not have an MTR available (rare), our team will notify you.

MTRs are matched to your order using the heat/lot numbers assigned at the time of shipment.

Processing Time

  • MTR requests are typically processed within one business day.
  • Large documentation requests or multi-lot orders may require an additional day.
  • MTRs are delivered as secure PDF attachments.

Need a Certificate of Conformance (COC)?

If you need a document confirming compliance but do not require full chemistry details, a Certificate of Conformance (COC) may be more appropriate.
