How Long Does Order Processing Take?Updated a day ago

Typical Order Processing Time

For in-stock items, most PNW Sanitary orders are processed within one business day. Many orders ship the same day when they are placed before our daily cutoff time.

Order processing includes payment confirmation, picking and packing, and preparing your shipment for carrier pickup.

Same-Day vs. Next-Business-Day Processing

Orders placed before 12:00 PM Pacific Time (Monday–Friday)
Typically processed and shipped the same business day.
Orders placed after 12:00 PM Pacific Time, on weekends, or on holidays
Typically processed and shipped on the next business day.

All orders are processed in the order they are received.

Factors That May Extend Processing Time

While most orders are processed quickly, some situations may require additional handling time, including:

  • Large-volume orders or palletized freight shipments
  • Orders with multiple line items or mixed product families
  • Backordered or partially in-stock items
  • Orders requiring additional verification or documentation

Large-volume orders and freight shipments may require an additional 1–2 business days for preparation.

Backordered Items

If any item on your order is backordered, our team will contact you with options, such as:

  • Holding the order until all items are available
  • Shipping available items now and sending backordered items separately

Expedited Orders

Expedited shipments (such as UPS Next Day Air or UPS 2nd Day Air) are prioritized during fulfillment. When placed before the daily cutoff time, these orders are typically processed and shipped the same business day, subject to inventory availability.

Need Your Order by a Specific Date?

If you are working against a firm installation or production deadline, we recommend:

  • Placing your order as early in the day as possible
  • Selecting an appropriate expedited shipping service when needed
  • Contacting our support team if you have time-critical requirements
